Wanna tour next year?  This year I am working with Break Forth Ministries (www.breakforthministries.com) to launch a program called “Artists in Mission”.  We are looking for ADMINISTRATIVE individuals and MUSICIANS to come and tour with us on the road and minister at schools, churches, and conferences.  If you know of someone who would be great at this…or if you are interested yourself click here to get information about the program as well as get application forms.  The deadline for applications is April 15th so make sure to send it in as soon as possible.  This is going to be an awesome opportunity for you to be stretched and grow in your faith while being able to do touring music ministry and having an impact in people’s lives across Canada.  At the end of the program you will receive an Artists in Mission Music Ministry Certificate.  I’ve listed some of the most common questions below.

One of the questions I’ve been asked a lot is what type of people are you looking for?

Well, we aren’t just looking for musicians…we are also looking for people that would be willing to come and do administration and help keep us organized….with a van full of musicians that is a big…and hugely important task.  We are of course, also looking for musicians, sound and lighting people.  We are looking for people with a willingness to serve God, who are talented and hard workers, with a passion for helping people.

You may wonder how is this different for a one-year bible school certificate.

Well, you still will get biblical training and musical training…we will bring in people to make sure that you are equipped like bible school.  The thing that is a bonus is that instead of just learning about ministry…you are doing ministry.  It is very hands on and interactive.  You will not only stretch and grow from intellectual perspective but also from a musical perspective as well.

If you’re interested you probably want to know how long the program runs.

Well, it goes from September to December and February to May.

So what kind of music do you get to play?

We will do a combination of performance and worship songs.  Click on the icon to the right of this blog that says “Listen to Linnea” to get a feel for some of the songs that we will be playing.  There will also be other material as well…worship music…and some covers as well. 

Another question I get is…are there fundraising requirements?  And how does that work?

Yes, all fundraising would go through Break Forth Ministries so people can get a tax receipt.  If you have any questions about details…let us know and we will try to answer them as best as we can.
